KINONIK in association with St. Lawrence Arts Presents
F.W. Murnau’s Nosferatu
with live piano accompaniment by Carolyn Swartz
December 17, 2018
F.W. Murnau’s Nosferatu (1922) is the stuff of nightmares. This hauntingly stylized take on Dracula has never been surpassed for creepiness thanks to Max Schreck’s Count Orlok (AKA the bird of death) and the costuming department. The original German title “Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens” translates as “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror.” Seldom are movies titled so perfectly. Featuring live piano accompaniment by Carolyn Swartz. Dec. 17, 7 p.m., St. Lawrence Arts. $8.
