THE LAST HURRAH (1958) is John Ford’s adaption of the celebrated Edwin O’Connor book of the same name. O’Connor said he “would like to do for the Irish in America what Faulkner did for the South,” which as a review of the book points out means to present the Irish-American experience with depth, for good and bad, for good and evil. Kinonik co-sponsors this screening with the Munjoy Hill Neighborhood Organization. Unlike our other screenings this film will be shown as a digital projection. 10/7 at 7 PM at St. Lawrence Arts.
